And don't forget the long wait that will be involved, although from where he lives, he could always go to Canada for the treatment.

But wait a minute ... Canada also has socialized medicine and the waiting times already are long. And with Canadians no longer having the advantage of utilizing formerly superior U.S. medical care, problems with their medical system will be compounded.

And the cataract operation he is waiting for ------ Medicare does not allow the state-of-the art cataract lens. If you want the really good lens, you pay out of your pocket.
