NYB - they are really expanding their footprint from NYC now to Arizona. I wonder what the mast plan is, I often found out of footprint expansion a red flag for regional banks. Of course this is an FDIC transaction but I really wonder why there as no bidder close to home?

Re: New York Community Bancorp Inc. (NYB)

Peeled off shares in my only bank (financial) holding other than BBD (which is located in Brazil). This is my first sale in years and represents a 15% reduction, Rising rates are not that good unless the bank can pass along the increase to it's customers. I am not too sure that there is sufficient housing demand in their mult-family loan business. Also, higher dividend yields can be found in other sectors. Looking to park the proceeds into GOV or MHRpC.
