At least, both former Presidents had the fate of America and it's citizens in mind when decisions were made. What you've hit on here was something that struck me when Obama entered office. Any good prospective candidate will campaign like fools to get into office.... Once reaching the presidency good Presidents will make a transition from acting on behalf of the relatively small percentage of Americans that got them elected to representing the bulk of the nation. Obama never made this transition.
