The SpecTek line and contract operations are normally profitable (actually in FY1997 SpecTek margins were 32%, and PC margins only 17%). I was just pointing out in my previous post that when DRAM prices are down, these divisions are at a disadvantage.

The latest news about MUEI startuing contract operations in Europe for Alcatel show that this company is not going to become a plain "PCmaker", especially with MU holding the majority interest. DRAM prices are going to improve.
