The Gov gets the $$'s at 0% and lends it out to the students at 8%. There is the spread that was a $103 billion industry.

So the POTUS demonizes the evil banks and claims there should not be any profit on the backs of poor students trying to get an education but its just fine for Uncle Sam to continue on the Hugo Chavez privatization plan.

I understand your point re the free market failures. My point is these types of failures are part of the free market and should be allowed to fail. I am not you guys as you put it... Just me. The current mess is a result of the government intervention in a free market. It is no longer free as the free applies to both failure and success.

No offense intended re this country.

I had a thought while taking my grandkids out to see Alice in 3d. Great pic by the way.

How about we start a negotiation right here on this thread. Lets start from scratch and build us a revamped health care system.... the duly elected couldnt get it done so lets give it a shot.

I will toss out the 1st suggested solution and we can begin our negotiation :

1. Sever the ties between employer and employee re insurance. Families and individuals negotiate on their own.
