Maybe Del will take the ACTING CEO spot from Steve Jobs and keep the CEO spot at Borland, as Jobs did with Pixar. :-)

Ah, I'd be surprised if Del took the spot, given his commitment to turning Borland around.

(I've been surprised before.)

Del has done a nice job of streamlining operations, getting costs under control and returning the company to profitability. In giving those hangers-on from the declining years a second chance, he has achieved his goal and is now free to leave with his head high and his stomach sucked in. It's increasingly obvious that that is precisely what he intends to do.

I hear the same - I think the CNBC stuff may be pure guesswork. As far as I am aware he is still planning to be here in Australia next Thursday....
