I read your post "Health Care Passed; How will Individuals and Corporations React? Who will Opt Out?"

The comments you included, eg Hawkmoon and John M, imply that companies are encouraged to drop coverage because the bill's penalties for non-coverage are less than the cost of insurance.

That doesn't make sense to me. If your health plan costs you $607,000 and you're maintaining it, why would you get rid of it because of a $200,000 fine? You could have saved $607k by terminating coverage before HCR, now you'll only save $407k after the fine, so eliminating insurance is now deterred and less likely.
