RE Oracle thread (Apple rumours)

What I've found so amusing about looking at the Oracle thread is that news of this possible merger seems to just be dawning on most folks over there.

This rumour came to light about a month ago, but most people thought it was b*llsh*t (including me), possibly because we didnt like the effect it might have on Oracle's share price (incuding me).

I hope you folks are right. Nothing personal. But if I thought it was true, I'd be dumping my Oracle and buying Apple. What a thought,

Joe C

"Almost double" is a bit much. But I do think you will see two things.

First of all, you will see a steep rise in AAPL on the day to 23 1/4 or more. Second, you will see all of those people who are churning get out of AAPL due to history.

The real investors will be the ones who see AAPL in the black in the 2Q of 1998 and get in for the green ride. The problem is that with all of the hype, if it 5 days is just another marketing ploy, you will see the drop hit about 13 again.
