Ted, > You ignore the fact that my cousin.....a close, first cousin is an MD.

Many of my college classmates are MDs. Big deal.

And they tell you they don't get any freebies?

Then why do they....time after time after time?

Because when they have a lot of patients to see and only an average of 10 minutes per patient, they will often choose the easiest remedy to think of at the moment.

That's true. However, they are supposed to be about healing.....and what better way to heal than naturally.

Plus when the patient practically demands a certain brand-name medication, often the doctor will just go with what the patient wants even after presenting all the alternatives. If it works, if it has the research, and if someone else is covering the bill, the decision becomes an easy one, especially when there is so much brand-name recognition behind it.

I don't know what patients demand a particular medicine but I never do.

I can go on and on about the problems with brand-name recognition in pharmaceuticals. You may discover that we agree more than we disagree about the negative influences it has. But one thing I don't agree with is the argument that Big Pharma is the PRIMARY reason why holistic treatments aren't usually recommended. They may be ONE of the reasons, but saying that is as far as I'll go.

Once again, BM is not a holistic treatment.
