First of all, I have no idea what a "lily white land" means or what it has to do with this discussion. I wasn't attacking whites or blacks nor any person of color when I was making negative comments about TX. Secondly, people form opinions based on their experiences.....that's as normal as breathing. My opinions about TX were formed based on a lot of experiences.......in other words, I just didn't wake up one day and decide to dislike TX. That doesn't mean I think all Texans are bad.....on the contrary, there are many good Texans. Nonetheless, the state projects a certain image that it works very hard to maintain. Was it fair of me to express my opinion about TX on this forum? Probably not.....but I am not going retract it. Its how I feel about the place. However, I do apologize to you if you felt like I was singling you out....I wasn't.....nor did I mean to denigrate you in any way. Do I think my state is perfect? Hardly. It definitely has its faults but for me, the good things outweigh the bad things. Is it an important state like CA or TX? Nope. Its a zero state that contributes very little to the country as a whole......that's why I don't discuss it. However, you can attack it all you want and it wouldn't bother me. Where I thought you were wrong, I may try to dissuade you or I may not depending on where my head is that day. You might consider taking a similar position with any state south of the Mason Dixon line.......it might keep your blood pressure from shooting up as much.
