We have the best system here in the USA. Individuals come here to get help rather than die while on waiting lists in Canada and Europe.

It is possible to get some of the best care in the world here but it is not available to far too many people. That's the difference that seems to escape folks like you. If it ain't happening to you it ain't happening. It is quite likely that the poor schmuck with little to nothing to his name gets better care in France or Canada or Japan or any number of other countries, where health care is nationalized, than that same schmuck does right here in the good ole USA.

Our costs here are not twice as high.

Per capita cost example - 2007

USA - $7290
France - $3601
OECD Countries Average - $2964

You do the math. Stubborn man...
