Not so sure. If I plug in a 0% rate on 100K (hypothetical loan amount), and a 3% origination fee ($3K) on a 1 year loan, I get an APR of 5.49%. It would be worse on a 6 month loan with the same fee. The only thing I can say, is that I'm happy not borrowing anything from anyone, gimmick or not
