Re: >>>SPARQ=WATERED DOWN SYJET???<<<

I think it's clear from the Gary Marks interview that Syquest plans to keep the SyJet in production to address the middle/professional portion of their new high-end removable market focus. Regardless of Syquest's intentions however, I believe the SparQ will have a major impact on future SyJet sales

The SyJet plan was reinforced to me this morning when I picked up my copy of the San Jose Mercury News (Business Section) and found that Syquest is continuing with their 1/2 page SyJet ads.

BTW, today their was also a brief mention in the newspaper (TechTicker Section) about how Syquest has "sharply undercut rival Iomega" with the SparQ.

Well, FWIW, I'm still holding my short-term play, however I'll probably bail today if the stock remains flat or drifts down.

Regards - Dale

They probably saved some money by not designing a new housing. It's great as second unlimited backup drive or copying a CDROM onto it for faster access.

I see they don't have a Mac version(SCSI).
