The gist of Stratfor's analysis of future US trade policies isn't funny, if you listen to Obama, Democratic politicians, and even some Republicans. There is even talk that a possible dump of Chinese Treasury holdings will be good for the US: we need the dollar to go down some more.

and thinking china being dependent on usa even as china, 1.3 billion folks, is now suffering labour shortage

Today on BNN they were talking about the Chinese trade deficit... A commentator mentioned that it would be spotty for a time deficit/surplus but the trend may be towards deficit..

Because they have lots of dough.
Because they need to import so many raw materials..

AND because their domestic market was picking up.. as we know is required.. Maybe Jon Stewart show get someone from Stratfor on his show or maybe the Rick Mercer (Canada) can replace his talking to Americans spot with one called talking to Stratfor :O)

This stratfor article is the most amazing combination of cluelessness, insight, paranoia, wishful thinking and garbage I have seen outside of the Lyndon LaRouche people.

It's almost wacky enough to be Scientology...

Let me just take a few lines that betrays their thinking...

>>>" Such a shift in the U.S. trade posture will see the Americans going for China’s throat (no matter whether by design or unintentionally). "<<<

Pushing for a 15-20% revaluation of the RMB is a long way from going for the "going for the China's throat"
