Yes, there are many ancient temples throughout South East Asia. I find the attention to detail incredible.

I was there back in the early 90's under a contract with Citibank. The people were fantastic....the temples and the food were outstanding.....The exchange rate was very favorable at the time...more than 50 bhat to the dollar. I lived in the Sheraton on Sukhimvit Road, Bangkok for 12 weeks. Also got to travel to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya and Rayong. It was quite an experience.
