Oh bummer! Not in the big picture. All those people who didn't die of colon cancer just lived longer to run up more medical bills and receive even more retirement funds from a program that can't really afford it. Government has to get the life expectation back to 62 years. Running healthcare they stand a really good chance to do just that.

Don't worry! Be happy!

Sure would like to know the exact statistics for your claim
You claim that "Some health costs have been lowered because of preventive health measures. The colonoscopy screening test has dramatically lowered treatment costs for colorectal cancer."

Is the colonoscopy preventive??? I think not.

When the doctor doing the colonoscopy punctures your innards you may think differently about colonoscopies as preventive medicine.

There is nothing about that procedure that is preventive------it is diagnostic and brutally invasive.

Enter the state-of-the-art scanning for colon/intestinal problems-------do your prep and let the scanning machine do the scan.

No need for a doctor doing invasive procedures on all people.

Do the scan and then consult with any further need for the invasive colon procedure or perhaps another alternative.
