Too bad she's not some Muslim from....

Too true. Few years ago I was in a SS office in suburban Seattle. Place was stuffed with young brown people, the women in hijabs.

Those Mexicans I've known mostly come to earn their way, though it appears more are being sucked into the welfare trap.

My housekeeper used to attend the first grade with her daughter so she could learn English. Her kids are grown now. One daughter is a nurse and the other is a real estate agent. The agent's son is attending the Filmic school at USC on a scholarship and has a part time job.

She's been my housekeeper for 30 years and has never missed a day due to sickness. If she needs a day off to attend to family business or whatever, she arranges it days or weeks in advance.

When my dad got Parkinson's and my mother Alzheimer's, her daughter and son-in-law moved into their house and took care of them for 4 years so I wouldn't have to put them in a nursing home.

I don't know anyone or any family who has been more loyal to me than she's been. Her whole family is like her. I just don't understand why people with such a work ethic and moral bearing are kept out while we let in riff raff that become a burden on the system.
