"Actually, Bush was Iran's best friend. He took out Saddam" He did much, much more than that. Our little Iraqi adventure introduced enough uncertainty in the oil market that prices went through the roof. And they still are very, very high. The help to Iran and the pain for us was huge. That, and the general ineffective saber rattling towards Iran greatly strengthened the mullahs hold on the country. Which was weakening before. Just about everything we did in the ME under Bush helped out Iran. To the point where you have to wonder why...

I'll grant that Bush did nothing to stop the Iranian bomb. I think you have it backward about Iraq though .... the Shia aren't all just puppets of Iran. So Obama has created leverage by making alot of noise about Google Obama hasn't done anything there. Google is just embarrassed about being used to persecute people. and then making noise about currency manipulation Driven by economics, not Iran. , and in general, letting China know that the US still has quite a bit of power and we can make things quite uncomfortable for China. ??? Like what? Then guess what happened? Obama's pressure has paid off. All of the sudden China is signaling that they may be open to sanctions. No, they haven't.
