Yes, “A new paradigm has begun Globally”. Players are shifting their positions to take advantage of that or trying to avoid being swept away:
Germany assertiveness in the case of Greece and Euro neighbors.
US treating Israel at arms length now that economically that partnership is no good for the US.

Brazil push has more to do with economic interest than ideology (ideologies, by the way, are dead)

In short, it is the dawn of an era where the nation-state is going pragmatic. Focus on economy. Politics taking back seat.

Thus I pointed to in posting 62307 about Turkey size, which in the new globalism is na issue to reckon with rasther than saying they have training grounds as Haim says they do.

The split continental Euro and UK is next.

Stratfor anachronic geopolitical views are laughable because they have not noticed the new globalism you mention.
