Regardless economy of US will south and China will plunge even further. What I am trying to say is even with gloom and doom scenarios, western countries have the capability to limit China and India's growth. For India, they just need to provoke bordering countries or malcontents within. For China, they could have Taiwan do some saber rattling or use India as a pawn. Though India and China are becoming smarter about to be seduced into such grandiose plans and I doubt if India would go into an alliance just to counterbalance China. While there is mistrust between two countries, there also is some pragmatism in the leadership of two countries.
