Not changing my story at all. I never said that Obama was responsible for the Google spat. That's silly. What I'm saying is that Obama and Hillary are smart enough to use context events as leverage. They clearly understand that creating or taking advantage of anti-China waves in the US is one way to create leverage to get other objectives achieved. I guarantee you it is no accident that China is now softening its stance on cooperation on Iranian sanctions. It is in direct relation to their understanding of US discontent with China. The more waves we make, the more China will realize they need to mollify us on something big, like Iran. China understands that although they are rising and may one day be able to afford to ignore the US and act unilaterally, they can't do that today without serious consequences to their growth story. Thus, we'll continue to see softening in key areas from them. All we need are leaders like Obama and Hillary who know how to use this as leverage. Bush was clueless as to these diplomatic subtleties.
