I'm sure Obama wants to read letters from people that have a need government can better serve, or one with a good idea.

I'm sure he DOESN'T want to hear carping from extreme right wingnut ideologues spewing the same crap they just heard on Fox News and Rush. Or carping from wealthy professional dual-income no-kids selfish whiners that only care about their tax rate.

With that kind of volume, he HAS to have screening!

Don't ask such stupid questions when the reply is so obvious: With only limited time on hand Obama has no time to read stupid and 'wrong' letters!

Thus he (or most likely Pelosi, I bet) appointed some clerk to select and make sure he only reads 'good' and 'relevant' letters.

No reason to confuse our busy president, right?
