We don't have the money for that---its got to be a gradual transition as we build up electric infra structure--its going to take 30-40 years---in the meantime coastal oil and gas will help tide us over.

I want to see it too. Health care seems to have sapped all the Dem energy for now. Obama has done a few things, though:
* $80B recovery money for renewable energy
* EPA ruling on CO2 being a pollutant

We need alot more, though. On that I agree with you 100%. It continues to be the single biggest issue this country faces and yet most people don't even realize it. That just kills me.
