Sorta on topic: Law firms "investigating claims for shareholders." Just lately I've noticed a spate of law firms that issue PRs with such a title whenever a merger is announced. One of the most prolific is Goldfarb Branham -- which opened in February and added four more attorneys in the past few days. Brower Piven seems to have gone into action last year. These are obviously mills of the ambulance chasing sort. I hadn't noticed them much before, and I've been playing biotech M&A for a couple of years in my retirement account -- but now they're everywhere.

They are just noise, but . . .

What's changed to cause such a proliferation?

Cheers, Tuck
