As I thought this through more it seems heads I lose tails I lose. If its not in a 401K or IRA I would still like to be prudent and save for retirement. But my kids still need to go to college and savings outside of 401K and IRA will be sucked into funding this activity, reducing grants I might otherwise receive. Still I have reduced my 401K contribution while I sort out what to do. Its frustrating but it seems I am better off living the highlife today and putting my future needs off on society. It shouldn't be this way.
