Greece Heads Back To Square One As EU's Bazooka Was Nothing More Than A Water Pistol Funny.. all this talk about being against war, but this economic warfare that is being engaged in is couched in terms of weaponry.. Credit Default Swaps are the WMD of the financial sector. They are financial flamethrowers where all your neighbors can collect if your house burns down, so you'd better burn down their house FIRST before they can organize and come after you. And now those CDS they are what are being used against Greece, and an increasing number of countries in Europe. The question is whether these CDS holders are acting on the behalf of the US, and possibly even Germany/France, China, Russia.. etc. Or is it possible that all soveriegn states are at the mercy of supra-national Hedge Funds and the ultra-wealthy elite? We can rant and rave about Sovereign debt, but let's not lose sight of the fact that a financial "winner take all" war is being waged out there and it threatens to undermine the sovereignty of EVERY COUNTRY. Which means that the freedoms we all enjoy are also under severe threat. Hawk

Mish, I have a great idea. One that might really screw the bankers and at the same time REALLY propel you onto the world stage. Consider this. I have never trusted what my bank has in store for me when they direct advertising towards me as a customer inside the branch. Often this is a verbal solicitation of some kind. When I am approached, and I have done this for years, I tersely respond that 'I have done quite well for myself over the years by doing the opposite of what bankers try to get me to do because they almost never really have MY best interests in mind'. I am suggesting that someone like you organize a campaign for the people to make it understood to their financial institutions that they will do the opposite of anything the bank suggests they do. In this was the people can hurt the banks through their advertising campaigns and hopefully the banks will stop trying to deceive people with all these new fangled promotions. I really believe that this idea has legs and can be done with the right kind of publicity. A grassroots anti-bank promotion campaign. Maybe the banks will then stop their TV and print promos and save we the customers a lot of wasted money and return to simpler days. People should just say "We've had enough of your con jobs and we're not going to take them anymore". Maybe you could even do a TV or internet commercial with this theme and it would spread virally and maybe get TV attention. Really Mish, aren't you sick and tired of seeing bank commercials? I know I am. So let's destroy the advertising industry as pertains to financial institutions.
