i do not think the buyback campaign is sound at all, in spite of the fact that i would like to see them do it. only Cymer management knows what they intend to do with their cash and near cash reserves. your proposal takes the members of this thread from being mere pests to being presumptious enough to tell them how to run their business. they may not be running a PR campaign in the way that you would, or raising the stock price like we would all like, but they do (based on the fundamentals that we all tout so highly) know how to run their business. their profits are stunning, and will get better. the price will reflect it eventually. you MUST wait on the market. you cannot force it. good night.

jess.

TG:
At a time like this, I don't thingk the term "rude" is applicable. I just hope that someone else would do the job for you. Your hands are full now. You have done a great job in helping CYMI with public relation. My understanding is Cymer has legal limitation in releasing information (getting involved) in this forum. So it is our job to help Cymer with its campaign against any rumors. Remember the already recently tested power of the internet.

An example of negative power: PRST. Some individuals in a stock chat forum allegedly caused Presstek stock price moving downwards. This was followed by the company pressing charges on these individuals.
An example of positive power: JMAR. The support of JMAR thread for the company was noticed and even mentioned in Individual Investor (November 97). This support also contribute to JMAR being picked as a hot stock in the issue.

We simply hope that our campaign to dispell rumors will create a positive tone for CYMI in WS.

God Bless.
