IMO, The one thing Ann didn't mention is that when Dems say "study" they mean they will charge the US Taxpayers Millions to 'think', to 'write' and to generally loaf around, then more millions to print and then shelve whatever epistle they wrote.

Democrats' "malpractice" section merely encourages the states to set up commissions to "study" tort reform, in the sense that frustrated mothers "encourage" their kids not to slouch. By "study," the Democrats mean "ignore."

Ann did make a good point by mentioning the $50 Million Junkyard dog John Edwards, and any of his junkyard Millionaire lawyer friends.

She's READ the bill…..she's making a safe bet here….

How much do you want to bet that the national commission in Washington will mandate coverage for every form of shopping addiction treatment, body image therapy and sex-change operations with mandatory mental health counseling, but not injuries from hunting accidents or smoking-related illnesses?

Ann's comment below should headline every antique media and every new technology blog in the country: Let the Dems tell us WHY this is not true….Most Americans today think it is true, and that's why there is such unrest in the country.

Democrats want to turn the entire citizenry into welfare recipients.

Good article, but the analogy between healthcare and cell phones is not necessarily a good one. Healthcare will never be cheap - for similar reasons why plumbing will never be really cheap. It is labor intensive, and it requires labor by highly trained professionals. If I were hospitalized, and on a ventilator, I'd want my doc and my respiratory therapist and my nurse to be highly trained and well paid professionals.

And yet, I don't mind using a throwaway cheap prepaid cell phone.
