I regard that as likely, too.

(So long as the current leadership is in-place in Iran. I believe that they obviously want a 'Shiite bomb' to counter-balance the 'Sunni bomb' that Pakistan has.)

And, no nation on Earth has been willing to pay the price (go to war with them) to delay/forestall that eventuality.

(Bush wasn't prepared to do it, nor Obama, nor NATO, China, Russia, etc.)

Fortunately they are not terribly close yet to having significant quantities of usable weapons grade material, certainly nothing approaching North Korea's situation yet... and the Theocratic regime is deeply unpopular with much of their public....

The tightened sanctions though *will* cause them to pay a big price.
