Well, free markets as solutions for most things. Low taxes. Anti-abortion. Strong military. Drill, baby, drill. I believe in all those things. But I'm a pragmatist. I don't believe in laissez-faire capitalism, but I do believe in regulated free markets that focus on maximizing competition and leveling the playing field. I don't believe in cutting taxes when we are engaged in two wars. And I don't believe to have a strong military we need to spend $700B a year, more than every other country in the world combined. I do believe we should drill everywhere, but I want us to be oil independent, which means we need to tax gasoline heavily and move to non-gas transportation.

So this is why the GOP members on these threads call me a liberal and the liberals call me a conservative. I'm hard to pin down, because I have nuanced beliefs. Everything is not black and white to me.
