So 57% of the tea partiers are Republicans, and going the other way apparently about 9 and a half percent of the population are Republican tea partiers (17 percent times 57 percent), and I think about a quarter of Americans identify as Republicans, so about 38% of Republicans (.095/.25) identify with the Tea Party movement.
