This is my first posting on this board. Want to say "HI" to everyone. I am now retired, and I suspect that many on this board are retired or nearing retirement.

I currently have a little over 50% of my portfolio in bond funds. These funds included Muni's and High Yield Corps. Given that we are now headed into a period where the Fed will be increasing interest rates, has anyone given thought on how to protect their interest rate sensitive investments?

I would like to share ideas on this subject. My thoughts have ranged from "doing nothing" to selling all my bond holdings and start moving into CD's and living off the cash generated by the sale of the funds.

I anticipate that the Federal Reserve Board will start the move to higher rates sometime in the second half of this year.

Appreciate comments on this matter.
