We've lost John Forsyth and Robert Culp recently. Forsyth was always sophisticated cool and I still think "The Trouble With Harry" was a great Hitchcock film and the pairing of Forsyth with the young Shirley McClain was understated brilliance.

Culp was an underrated actor, IMHO. "Trackdown" was a good western series and Culp was "too cocky", according to my Father. Which was what I liked about Ranger Hoby Gilman. "I Spy" was where Culp tried to teach Bill Cosby to act and it was fun. "The Greatest American Hero" was a silly superhero show that made me laugh. It was doomed because the lead character was named Hinckley, and during its run, some guy with that name shot Ronnie Babe Reagan. Culp was the second banana on that one and stole the show.

Thus, the point of the article I posted.

Castrate and hang pedofiles and the few that escape will become very fast on their feet.

KT,

It isn't a straw man argument, it's a way of life for most liberals.

The problem with most liberals (aside from being economically retarded) is that they have no intellectual honesty and consistency in their beliefs and actions.

When offending priests are written about in the press, the liberal media always uses the word "pedophile". However, when you examine the cases, X% are cases are pedophilia and y% are with post pubescent boys. If you look even further, you rarely if ever see a case of a priest assaulting a minor or teenage girl even though most Catholic elementary schools are co-ed.

I wonder why that is?

What that suggests is obvious.

While sexual behavior with a potentially active minor is both illegal and immoral, it's not nearly as offensive in the minds of most people as sex with a child. So reporting all cases as pedophilia serves two purposes.

1. Maximizes the damage to the Church
2. Minimizes the damage to the homosexual community

Now let me ask you, if the Catholic Church came out and said it could eliminate the risk of such abuse in the future by 50% simply by not allowing homosexuals to become priests or by limiting their duties to administrative tasks, how do you think the liberal press would react? LMFAO

Now let's take this a step further.

Would any parent in America allow their teenage daughter to go on a camping trip with strange men?

My guess is very few. Obviously, they understand that doing so would be playing with fire even if most would be safe with most men.

Yet liberals can't seem to comprehend how some parents might feel exactly the same way about trusting their teenage boys with homosexual men in the boy scouts.

It's all related in the reporting.

If you report that that 1%-5% of all priests have been abusive, half have been pedophile cases, half are homosexual cases, and their are almost no heterosexual cases, you also have to admit that mixing teenagers with adults that are attracted to them is playing with fire (homosexuals included).

They can't do that because they aren't really interested in facts, reality, etc... They are interested in supporting their own agenda and attacking their opponents no matter who it harms and no matter what it destroys.

That's why when the NY DA privately tells people about all the abusive Rabbis in NY and all the cases in public schools almost none get reported. Deep down inside (way down deep though) they understand that human beings are flawed and "X" percentage are going to do bad things, maker errors in judgment etc... The difference is the goal is not to destroy rabbis and the public school system. The goal is to destroy the Catholic church.

"Haters" spend all day looking for Catholic abuse cases to post about and guys like me spend no time at all looking for cases about school teachers, rabbis, clerics, ministers, day care centers etc... that are abusive and covered then up. (though obviously my task would be more difficult because they don't report them I would have to go to the source).

I find all this abuse and the subsequent cover ups just as horrific as the next guy, but I also find the behavior of the left incredibly repulsive. Repulsive to the point I have trouble admitting to.
