Bob/Staff: I think Staff is referring to the 'Bemer' solution, which has been touted (by Bemer) as being the best thing since sliced bread, and criticized as being yet another silver bullet that looks more like polished pewter. There is an entire site devoted to it.

Do an SI search for 'Bemer'. You'll find quite a bit of discussion on it.

TPII (see their thread) has licensed Vertex 2000 (Bemer's solution) for Canada.

More recent.. in the last few weeks.
Has to do with conventional date coding and using letters in some manner. The process seperates the numerical allocations to redefine the strucural sequence in place in order to reallocate date sequences so they can be ongoing past the year 2000 in there present form.

The person who came up with it is from Montanna or Wyoming or something like that.
