There is no question that the gov't subsidy and the markets have benefited Citi. However, it can not be ignored that Pandit, the CEO of Citi, has been an effective leader in getting Citi out of its mess. The job isn't done yet but it looks like Citi is on the way to recovery. Yeah, because we've given them a ton of money, our guarantees, and helped eliminate like a quarter of their competition. Hardly. I think you are being way too narrow in your view. I just PM'd you an article.......see what you think after reading it.
