Z, federal spending will continue to grow relative to the GDP unless you can do both of the following:

a) Grow the economy at 6%/year for the next 10 years.

b) Hold the line on spending growth.

Yet the policies of the Democrats go against both requirements.

The reason should be obvious. Democrats want a society where government spending represents more than 50% of the GDP. That's a defining characteristic of a planned economy.
