Well, maybe the problem is with how you were trying to spin them.

Your post said that 40% were Democrats or Independents. The clear implication is that the Tea Party movement has political diversity. However, the line:

Only 16 percent of tea partiers said they are Democrats or Democratic-leaning independents

clearly shows a lack of any such diversity.

Again, you have trouble with reality.
