Richard,

You have to love APM's high beta. About a week and a half ago I sold the Nov30c for 3/4, bought it back for 1/4 today...turned around and sold the Dec30c for 1 1/8. With the three covered call trades I've done on APM since earnings, I've made back 30% of my losses on my APM position - now if during the next seven weeks I don't get the opportunity to buy back the Dec30c for 3/8 - 9/16 and get assigned, I'll actually show almost a 1 point profit on APM - what a Christmas present that would be. If I don't get assigned and still have a loss in APM, I'll just sell out the position before the new year for a nice fat loss to offset a portion of my other yearly gains for the '97 income taxes.
