"bad spin, try again. " No spin at all. I will grant you that many conservatives seem to think that they can just re-write history with impunity. But, it is a fact that it was mainly Republicans who fought environmental protections since the beginning. By the Reagan administration, they had declared all out war. I will grant you that it wasn't uniform. There were some of that now extinct breed, moderate Republicans, who did champion environmental issues. But the rabid supporters of blocking and rolling back regulations were almost all Republicans.
