You occassionally see arguments that the large MSFT cash reserves will be a burden on earnings, because the return on that money will be less than that from MSFTs in-business investments.

But the Comcast $1B was at about $20 as I recall. So they're up about 40% in short order. Not bad. And that doesn't account for any increase in WebTV sales afforded by the deal.

Top quality management, I'd say.
