Cy, US Energy (USEG) -- My hunch regarding the huge volume is that some firm other than CK Cooper may have recently initiated coverage. That would be meaningful since it would be the first time they got coverage by someone other than their investment banker (Cooper managed their recent stock offering).

Now their stock offering makes a helluva lot more sense than previously, what with the Brigham announcement about ramping up drilling. They could have waited until Brigham made their announcement before doing the raise, but its not clear how the market would have reacted if they were in a situation where they had to come up with the cash in order to keep pace with Brigham.
