I would say the centerpoint of the tea party movement is probably far more pragmatic than Obamacare, or those who oppose reducing the growth of entitlement spending. are you comfortable with how close we came to financial and economic Armageddon? Not that close, but all this extra spending makes it more likely. The US spends 8 times the nearest higher country In terms of its defense budget. But China hides the renminbi it spends on defense in other budgets much more than the US does, and it also spends in areas that are not even part of the government budget at all (such as the profits of corporations owned by the PLA). Then it also spends in non-currency terms by drafting its people. We still spend a lot more, but not 8 times as much.

Your interpretation of the Tea Party movement is laughable. are you comfortable with how close we came to financial and economic Armageddon? Is the view really that good from the cheap seats sdgla? In hindsight we may have been better off letting the free market resolve the issues that occurred. Nobody knows how close we came to armageddon... it was all conjecture. You will need to clarify your cheap seat remark. Doesn't make any sense from where I sit. The figures are well known and not far off. Links please. I dont believe your numbers are even close. What is a higher country ? I will repeat for you : The USA is the beacon of freedom on this planet and we need to keep it that way. The fact that you state we can blow the world up proves my point. By having that capability we keep the lunatics in line. You desire a world where strength and might are not needed to maintain peace. Dream on. S
