You've been studying economics for several decades but you NEVER noticed the inherent danger of these building deficits? I didn't HAVE to study economics to realize that we were getting into trouble during the 1980's. The deficits were GROWING and when George Bush I got elected he got SLAMMED and even lost an election because he was worried about them. Ross Perot cared about them, George Bush I cared about them, I cared about them, Gingrich seemed to care about them. We actually got RID of THEM during Clinton's term. We had SURPLUSES and we could have used those to PAY DOWN our debt but the MORON Bush II thought like every "crack addict" that if you've got extra cash you should SPEND it. Peter, you DEFEND these guys for SPENDING my tax money. Peter, that's MY money and you DEFEND guys that BLOW it.
