There is no doubt that had GWB not stepped in and solved the problem the crisis would have been serious. I opposed it at the time but was wrong. GWB saved the economy, no doubt about it.

Pretentious proclamations, of another kind, but all the same pretentious. In any case the debate was between two other choices...whether to intervene or no to.
