Jumper - [from Hove's testimony] The FDIC and state authorities have completed initial assessments of 81 percent of the approximately 6,200 state non-member institutions we supervise. We will complete assessments of the remaining 19 percent of institutions by the end of the year. It appears they started surveying in May 1997... about 1,000 institutions per month... 50 per day. Sounds like an incredibly in-depth, detailed survey to me. - David
