Last century, I was in favour of 3D images from around the world, but there's a timing issue. It would be better to have double the data into a 2D image than double the data into a 3D image giving 2 blurry images instead of one.

Double the data would make all the signs I have looked at legible. But double the data to get them to be 3D imagines wouldn't enhance legibility as much.

When there's high resolution 3D from around the world, it will be easier to see the Acropolis and such places via cyberspace then crowding into buses and what have you.
