did not "intentionally" bet against..

what does that mean? intentionally?

as though it were an accident? sounds fishy to me

I have a theory : they've rebuilt some hefty short positions these past few quiet weeks , prior to the Q2 earnings storm

recently, their stock has been up when the market is down, and down when the indices have been up

maybe the GS traders are net short now?

..just a guess

I try not to dwell upon this stuff

The term “GS” is now entering the popular lexicon as a verb, meaning to lie AND make money from doing so, as opposed to “BS” – which is just to lie without the benefit of financial compensation. ---Richard Ambrose
