I am worried by it. The birthers and the "water the tree of liberty with blood" folks are by far the worst- but the ones who see traitors in people who merely hold a different political view, or who see everyone on "the other side" as extreme- are very bad as well. I don't know how you mend a country with such people in it. I guess the real centrists will just have to step up to the plate and reject what is worst out there.
