if you spring for lunch... the bbq place on old highway 31.

you really want to visit? I'd be up for it. We could take the 'drive'.

and squalor makes it sound rather... low-brow. the trailors might be falling in, but the people are fine and will offer us coffee and maybe even a meal. they're a tad on the prohabition side, so if you want a beer, have to pick the right place to visit.

and, no, I was not dishonest. and, yes, I love my neighbors, I'd be proud to take someone about to visit.

JBC, if you are serious you will be in Alabama, north Alabama or with time to drive up from the south... I would be up for giving a tour. And I'd take you to meet Debo and Swayne and Mel and others. and if you cotten to graveyards, we got a lot of them. I am fond of graveyards, myself. seriously. if you really going to be here and are interested, we can make arrangements.

oh, Top Hat... that is the name of the bbq place on 31.

one more - seriously, I love this land and its people. come on down. If you are really to be here, I would be proud to ride you around. that's if you don't mind leaping a wood bridge at a high speed, just for fun?

Dad still likes to talk about the first time he brought his city (Dallas) wife here, and took her walking down the dirt road and across its wood bridges...

life is good. you seem to suggest the land is 'imaginary'. I say... come on down. I'd be proud for the visit.
