nice job, Polvie.

That was great, your travel pals must have loved that compilation.

That was a lot of work!

I think you should plan to take a few months off, and rest up.

i'm beginning to get caught up on my "what i did
on my vacation videos".

I enjoyed ever minute of it.

The sound track was wonderful.

Must have been a lot of fun. Did you know any of these people before the trip?

I really got a good feeling watching the dolphins swimming with you guys. That and the leaf race along the beach sort of helped me refocus.

Excellente!

I looked in my log book and it was almost
exactly two years since I had been flying last.
So I decided it was time.

Man, it felt good to be back up in the sky.
I feel alive again.

My friend Paul and I flew over the southern tip
of the Catskill Mountains out to Cherry Ridge
Airport (N30)in Pennsylvania.

It was a small airport with a 50 ft. wide by
2400 ft long.

I flew and navigated there with my friend
Paul doing the take offs and landings.

It was a beautiful day. Could see for miles.
Really gave me a thrill. I had been going crazy
just to experience this feeling again.

:)

I enjoyed every second of it. Cherry Ridge was
a nice place to stop. Unfortunately the restaurant
was closed.

On the way back we landed at Sullivan Co
International (MSV) and took off for Orange Co. (KMGJ)
where I did my first solo a few years ago. It was great
to see that airport. It was like seeing an old girlfriend.
We landed and went into their restaurant called
Rick's Runway Cafe. Excellent service from a purty
waitress and enjoyed my $100 chicken club wrap and
rootbeer while talking about the flight and watching the
planes land.

Off we went and in no time we were crossing the
beautiful Hudson River. My goodness how I missed
this view.

Then the best part of the trip was seeing that gorgeous
runway of my home airport staring up at us. That
familiar sight looked just the same as it did two years
ago, if not better. I missed it. It was my home airport.
Instead of seeing it from the parking lot with my
handheld scanner inside my pickup truck, I was seeing
it from above, in an AIRPLANE once again. How beautiful.

I can't wait to go up again. (Possibly next Monday with my new CFI.)
